Privacy Policy

HireSocials is an India-based marketplace that connects social media creators with brands. References to “HireSocials,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy mean the operators of hiresocials.com.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data — name, email address, phone number (when provided), password (stored only as a salted hash), and the type of account you sign up for.
• Profile data — your handle, biography, niche, languages, city/state, social-platform handles and follower counts, rate card, content types, audience snapshot you choose to share, and portfolio media (images, videos, captions, links).
• Engagement metrics — when you connect or import data from third-party platforms (e.g. Instagram, YouTube), we store the metrics you authorise us to access. We do not pull data you have not authorised.
• Contact submissions — anything you send us via our contact form, support email, or WhatsApp.
• Cookies & analytics — session cookies that keep you signed in, anti-bot cookies set by Cloudflare Turnstile, and anonymous performance data collected through Grafana Cloud Faro. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
• Security signals — IP address, user-agent, and request timing. Used to prevent abuse and investigate account-security events.

We collect data only for specific, lawful, and limited purposes, consistent with the spirit of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• To create and operate your HireSocials account.
• To present your public profile to brands and visitors at /@your-handle, in line with your visibility settings.
• To deliver transactional emails (verification, password resets, security alerts).
• To moderate content, prevent fraud, and detect automated abuse.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.
• To improve the platform — fix bugs, measure performance, ship better features.

We do not sell your data. We share specific information with the following service providers, only to the extent needed to operate the platform:

• ZeptoMail — sends our transactional emails. Receives the email address of the recipient and the email content.
• MinIO (self-hosted) — stores profile photos, portfolio images, and videos that you upload.
• Meilisearch (self-hosted) — indexes public profile fields so brands can search creators.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — protects sign-up, login, and the contact form from automated abuse. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy and terms.
• Contentful — hosts our blog content. Does not receive account or profile data.
• Grafana Cloud (Faro) — collects anonymous performance and error telemetry from the website. We do not send personally identifying fields to Faro.
• Content moderation service — scans uploaded images and videos for unsafe content. Receives the media file only.

We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users and the integrity of the platform.

You can:

• Access the data we hold about you by signing in and viewing your profile and settings.
• Correct inaccurate data by editing your profile.
• Delete your account and associated data from Settings → Danger Zone, or by emailing us. Some records may be retained where the law requires (for example, audit trails of security incidents).
• Withdraw consent for optional data uses by updating your settings or contacting us.

Account and profile data is retained for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we remove your profile from public view immediately, and purge personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

We use only the cookies needed to run the platform — your session cookie (so you stay signed in) and cookies set by Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. We do not run advertising cookies. You can clear cookies from your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out.

We hash passwords with Argon2id, transport everything over HTTPS, and apply rate limits and bot protection on sensitive endpoints. No system is perfectly secure, but we design HireSocials so that a single mistake is unlikely to expose your account.

HireSocials is not intended for users under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

As HireSocials evolves, this policy will too. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on the platform.

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India.
